上課鈴聲響了，陳老師卻帶著各種各樣的食品和飲料走進教室，我既驚喜又好奇，心裡砰砰地跳，想：出什麼事了，上英語課干什麼要帶這些東西來呢？
When the bell rang, Chen took a variety of food and drink into the classroom, I was very surprised and curious, heart thumping, like: what happened, what the English want to take these things?
只見陳老師宣布了今天要玩的游戲規則，要求一個同學走到講台上聞出咖啡、橘子汁、茶、牛奶……等等的味道，用英文說出它的名字，說對了，就可以任意選一樣自己喜歡的飲料喝。就這樣一個個同學都美美地喝到了飲料，可一直沒有輪到我。

After a while the first game ended, Chen started to play our second game, the teacher invited a dialogue students and teachers came to power, if the dialogue is very good, can also get a prize. After all students receive prizes. Finally, it was my turn. I am excited to the podium, and teachers a lot of dialogue, finally, get the cake, I'm happy to run down the platform.

I left home very early. When I took the taxi, I found the traffic bad. The traffic was so busy that the car couldn』t move at all. I think the government should get the road wider so that the car can run easily and smoothly.

I think we can have a better traffic as long as we take steps in three different ways. First, we need to control the rapid growth of the number of private cars, because too many private cars will lead to serious traffic jams, as well as air pollution. Second, we must make greater efforts to develop mass transportation system, such as bus lines and subway lines. Third, we must ecate the public to let them better understand the traffic laws and regulations.
If the above-mentioned measures are successfully taken, I』m sure the traffic situation of Beijing will be much better by 2008.

A Fishy Story
Two avid fishermen go on a fishing trip. They rent all the equipment: the reels, the rods, the wading suits, the rowboat, the car, and even a cabin in the woods. They spend a fortune.
The first day they go fishing, but they don't catch anything. The same thing happens on the second day, and on the third day. It goes on like this until finally, on the last day of their vacation, one of the men catches a fish.
As they're driving home they're really depressed. One guy turns to the other and says, "Do you realize that this one lousy fish we caught cost us fifteen hundred dollars?"

A lady lost her handbag in the bustle of Christmas shopping. It was found by an honest little boy and returned to her.

Late for work
Tom had this problem of getting up late in the morning and was always late for work. His boss was mad at him and threatened to fire him if he didn't do something about it. So Tom went to his doctor who gave him a pill and told him to take it before he went to bed.
Tom slept well and in fact beat the alarm in the morning. He had a leisurely breakfast and drove cheerfully to work. "Boss," he said, "The pill actually worked!"

We all wish (hope) to be happy, so we should take good care of our health.
Health is the best treasure (which) a man can possess. Money can do many things, but it cannot buy happiness. However, so long as man has good health, he can enjoy the pleasures of human life.
In order to insure good health we must pay attention to three things. They are-nourishing food, fresh air and proper exercise.

However, money should not be wasted. It must be used for (some) proper purposes. We young men should form the good habit of not spending money in the wrong way.

第二十四天：THE CHINESE NEW YEAR 中國新年
I like the Chinese new year better than any other festival. This is a time especially for rest and joy. I need not study. I wear good clothes and eat good food. I have a good time from morning till night. To be frank with you, I am as happy as a king.
The Chinese new year lasts as long as fifteen days. It gives us more pleasure than we have imagined. After that we have to（比用must來得好）resume our normal work.
我喜歡中國新年比喜歡其它任何節日更甚。這是一個專為休息和歡樂的時間。我不需要讀書。我穿好衣服，吃好東西。我每天從早到晚日子過得輕松愉快。坦白地說，我和帝一樣快樂。

I have rested for a month. I began to feel bored. So I went out with my friends. They are my best friends in the middle school. We didn』t go to someplace special. We just saw the other. We had lunch together. While we were having lunch, we were still talking about the new school and new friends. Yes! A year later, we have grown riper.
